2021 में कुंभ महापर्व का आयोजन हो रहा है, वैसे तो गुरु कुंभ राशि में 6 अप्रैल को प्रवेश करेगें लेकिन उस से 3 महीने पहले से ही कुंभ स्नान का आरंभ हो जाएगा और इस तरह 14 जनवरी 2021 मकर संक्रांति से ही कुंभ स्नान का आरंभ हो जाएगा. कुंभ स्नान का यह पर्व 26 मई, 2021 दिन बुधवार वैशाख माह की पूर्णिमा पर समाप्त होगा. कुंभ स्नान की जो मुख्य तिथियाँ हैं, उनका वर्णन इस प्रकार से है :-
पहला स्नान – 14 जनवरी 2021 को मकर संक्रांति के दिन कुंभ पर्व का आरंभ हो रहा है और इसी दिन से कुंभ का पहला मुख्य स्नान भी शुरु हो रहा है. सूर्य मकर राशि में सुबह 8:41 पर प्रवेश करेगें और इसी दिन से उत्तरायण भी आरंभ है. इसी दिन पहला प्रमुख स्नान पर्व शुरु होगा.
दूसरा स्नान – दूसरा स्नान पौष माह की पूर्णिमा को 28 जनवरी दिन बृहस्पतिवार को मनाया जाएगा. इस दिन स्नान-दान का महत्व है.
तीसरा स्नान – मौनी अमावस्या पर दूसरा प्रमुख स्नान होगा. इस दिन महोदय योग भी होगा जिससे स्नान का माहात्म्य बहुत बढ़ जाएगा. यह तीसरा स्नान 11 फरवरी दिन बृहस्पतिवार के दिन होगा. स्नान-दानादि के साथ पितृ तर्पण तथा श्राद्ध का विशेष महत्व होगा जिसे सूर्यग्रहण के स्नान के समान माना गया है.
चौथा स्नान – चौथा स्नान 12 फरवरी दिन शुक्रवार को फाल्गुन संक्रांति पर होगा.
पांचवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 16 फरवरी दिन मंगलवार को होगा. इस दिन बसंत पंचमी का दिन है, जब माँ सरस्वती का पूजन होता है. कुंभ स्नान का यह तीसरा प्रमुख स्नान होगा.
छठा स्नान – छठा स्नान 19 फरवरी दिन शुक्रवार को होगा. इस दिन आरोग्य सप्तमी है जिसे रथ सप्तमी भी कहते हैं. इस दिन भगवान सूर्य को अर्घ्य देकर स्वस्थ शरीर की कामना की जाती है.
सातवाँ स्नान – सातवाँ स्नान भीमाष्टमी के दिन 20 फरवरी, शनिवार को है. भीमाष्टमी पर कुंभ पर्व के अवस पर गंगा स्नान के बाद बाल ब्रह्मचारी भीष्म पितामह का श्राद्ध या उनका तर्पण करने से अभीष्ट सिद्धि की प्राप्ति होती है और साथ ही गुणी संतान की प्राप्ति भी होती है.
आठवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 27 फरवरी दिन शनिवार को होगा. यह चौथा प्रमुख कुंभ स्नान है जो “माघी पूर्णिमा” को मनाया जाएगा. मघा नक्षत्र से संबंधित होने के कारण इस माह का नाम “माघ” पड़ा है. इस नक्षत्र के देवता “पितर-गण” है. जो लोग माघ स्नान का अनुष्ठान करते हैं, उनके लिए आवश्यक है कि वह “पौष” पूर्णिमा को स्नान कर “माघ” व्रत का प्रारंभ करें. उसके बाद माघ पूर्णिमा का स्नान कर के व्रत की समाप्ति करें. कुछ लोग मकर-संक्रांति या महाशिवरात्रि के स्नान से इस महान अनुष्ठान को पूरा करते हैं.
नवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 11 मार्च दिन बृहस्पतिवार को महाशिवरात्रि को किया जाएगा. यह प्रथम शाही स्नान होगा. यह कुंभ पर्व का अत्यधिक विशेष शाही स्नान होगा और इस स्नान में दशनाम संप्रदाय अथवा दशनाम अखाड़े के सन्यासी इसी दिन स्नान करते हैं.
दसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 13 मार्च दिन शनिवार को शनैश्चरी अमावस अथवा फाल्गुन अमावस के दिन होगा. अमावस्या तिथि को पितरों की तिथि माना गया है इसलिए कुंभ पर्व पर इस पुण्य तिथि पर गंगा स्नान के बाद पितरों के लिए तर्पण किया जाता है. दूसरे यह फाल्गुन माह की शनिवारी अमावस होने से इसका महत्व कुंभ स्नान पर बढ़ जाता है.
ग्यारहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 14 मार्च दिन रविवार को चैत्र संक्रांति पर होगा. चैत्र संक्रांति पर पुण्य़काल दोपहर 11:39 के बाद से पूरे दिन रहेगा लेकिन सुबह से ही गंगा स्नान का महत्व रहेगा.
बारहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 20 मार्च दिन शनिवार महाविषुव के दिन होगा.
तेरहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 8/9 अप्रैल को बृहस्पतिवार/शुक्रवार के दिन है. 8 अप्रैल 2021 की मध्यरात्रि के बाद से 3:16 से लेकर 04:57 तक वारुणी योग रहेगा. इस योग के समय गंगा में स्नान करने का महत्व सौ सूर्यग्रहणों में स्नान करने के समान होगा. इसलिए इस योग का अत्यधिक महत्व होने से यह महत्वपूर्ण स्नान रहेगा.
चौदहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 12 अप्रैल, दिन सोमवार को चैत्र अमावस्या के दिन किया जाएगा और इस दिन सोमवती अमावस्या भी रहेगी जिस से स्नान का महत्व और बढ़ जाएगा. इस दिन कुंभ स्नान का दूसरा शाही स्नान होगा और इसमें षड्दर्शन के सन्यासी स्नान करते हैं. स्नान के बाद दान तथा पितृतर्पण व श्राद्ध करने से महान पुण्य़ मिलता है.
पंद्रहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 13 अप्रैल दिन मंगलवार को वैशाखी के दिन होगा. इसी दिन चैत्र शुक्ल प्रतिपदा भी है और नवरात्रि के साथ नवसंवत्सर भी शुरु है. चैत्र शुक्ल पक्ष की प्रतिपदा के दिन पितामह ब्रह्मा जी ने सृष्टि का निर्माण शुरु किया था इसलिए इसे अत्यन्त पवित्र तिथि माना जाता है.
सोलहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 14 अप्रैल दिन बुधवार को होगा. यह हरिद्वार के कुंभ महापर्व की प्रमुख स्नान तिथि होगी और इसी दिन तीसरा प्रमुख शाही स्नान होगा. 13 अप्रैल को संक्रांति प्रवेश काल आधी रात को होने से प्रमुख कुंभ स्नान अगले दिन 14 अप्रैल को होगा. इसी दिन षड्दर्शन के शंकराचार्य आदि संत महात्मा भी अपने शिष्यों के साथ शाही यात्रा निकालकर गंगा स्नान करेगें.
सत्रहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 21 अप्रैल दिन बुधवार को श्रीरामनवमी के दिन होगा. यह तिथि कुंभ पर्व की पाँचवीं प्रमुख स्नान तिथि होगी.
अठारहवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 27 अप्रैल दिन मंगलवार को चैत्र पूर्णिमा को होगा. यह तिथि भी महत्वपूर्ण है क्योंकि यह हरिद्वार कुंभ का चतुर्थ अथवा अंतिम शाही स्नान है. इसी दिन से वैशाख स्नान भी आरंभ होगा.
उन्नीसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 11 मई दिन मंगलवार को वैशाख अमावस्या के दिन होगा. इस दिन भौमवती अमावस्या होने से स्नान का महत्व और बढ़ जाता है.
बीसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 14 मई दिन शुक्रवार को होगा. इस दिन अक्षय तृतीया तथा भगवान परशुराम जी की जयन्ती भी होगी.
इक्कीसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 14 मई को दोपहर बाद से शुरु होकर अगले दिन 15 मई की सुबह 6 बजे तक रहेगा. यह ज्येष्ठ संक्रांति का पुण्य स्नान रहेगा.
बाईसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 17 मई को दिन सोमवार को होगा. इस दिन आद्यगुरु श्री शंकराचार्य जी की जयन्ती है.
तेईसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 18 मई दिन मंगलवार को होगा. इस दिन गंगा जयंती होने से स्नान-दान का महत्व काफी रहेगा. स्नान-दान के लिये शुभ समय दोपहर 12:33 से लेकर शाम तक रहेगा.
चौबीसवाँ स्नान – यह स्नान 26 मई दिन बुधवार को होगा. इस दिन हरिद्वार के कुंभ पर्व की अंतिम स्नान की तिथि है. इस दिन वैशाख माह की पूर्णिमा होने से स्नान का महत्व बढ़ जाता है. इस तिथि से कुंभ पर्व की समाप्ति हो जाएगी.
हरिद्वार के इस कुंभ महापर्व की जो स्नान की तिथियाँ ऊपर दी गई हैं जरुरी नहीं है कि आम लोग उसी तिथि में स्नान करें वह माघ महीने से वैशाख महीने तक कभी भी स्नान कर सकते हैं. पुण्य़दायक तिथियों के अलावा एकादशी तिथियों पर किया गया स्नान भी अत्यधिक फलदायक रहेगा
Kumbh Mela 2021
Kumbha Mahaparva is being organized in 2021, although Guru (Jupiter) will enter Aquarius on April 6, but Kumbh Snan will start 3 months before that and thus Kumbh Snan should start from Makar Sankranti on 14 January 2021. This festival of Kumbh Snan will end on May 26, 2021, on Wednesday, the full moon of Vaishakh month. The main dates of Kumbh Snan are described as follows: –
First bath – Kumbha festival begins on the day of Makar Sankranti on 14 January 2021 and from this day the first main bath of Kumbh is also starting. Sun will enter Capricorn in the morning at 8:41 am and Uttarayan also starts from this day. The first major bathing festival will begin on this day.
Second bath – The second bath will be celebrated on Thursday, 28 January , on the full moon of Paush month . Bath-donation is important on this day.
Third bath – The second major bath will be on Mauni Amavasya. There will also be Yoga on this day, which will greatly increase the importance of bathing. This third bath will be on Thursday 11 February . Pitra tarpan and Shraddha will have special significance with bathing and charity, which has been considered like bathing of solar eclipse.
Fourth bath – The fourth bath will be on Phalgun Sankranti on Friday, February 12 .
Fifth bath – This bath will take place on Tuesday, February 16 . This day is the day of Basant Panchami, when Mother Saraswati is worshiped. This will be the third major bath of Aquarius bath.
Sixth bath – sixth bath will be on friday 19th day. This day is Arogya Saptami which is also known as Rath Saptami. On this day, by offering arghya to Lord Sun, a healthy body is wished.
Seventh Bath – The seventh bath is on 20 February , Saturday, the day of Bhimashtami . Shraddha or offering of Baal Brahmachari Bhishma Pitamah after bathing the Ganges on the occasion of Kumbh festival on Bhimashtami brings desired attainment and also the attainment of virtuous children.
Eighth bath – This bath will take place on Saturday, 27 February . This is the fourth major Kumbh Snan which will be celebrated on “Maghi Purnima”. This month is named “Magha” because it is related to Magha Nakshatra. The deity of this nakshatra is “Pitar-gana”. For those who perform Magh Snan ritual, it is necessary that they take bath on “Pausha” Purnima and start the “Magh” fast. After that take a bath on Magh Purnima and end the fast. Some people complete this great ritual by bathing on Makar-Sankranti or Mahashivratri.
Ninth Snan – This bath will be done on Mahashivratri on Thursday, March 11 . This will be the first royal bath. This will be a very special royal bath of the Kumbh festival and in this bath, the saints of the Dashanama sect or Dashanama Akhara bathe on this day.
Tenth bath – This bath will take place on Saturday, March 13, on the day of Shanaishwari Amavas or Falgun Amavas. Amavasya Tithi is considered to be the date of the fathers, therefore, on this auspicious date on the Kumbh festival, a Ganga bath is performed for the fathers. Secondly, due to this Satwari Amavas of Falgun month, its importance increases on Aquarius bath.
Eleventh Bath – This bath will take place on Sunday, March 14, on Chaitra Sankranti. On Chaitra Sankranti, the auspicious time will remain for the whole day from 11:39 pm onwards, but Ganga bathing will be important from morning itself.
Twelfth bath – This bath will take place on Saturday, March 20, on the day of Saturday.
Thirteenth Bath – This bath is on 8/9 April on Thursday / Friday. After midnight of 8 April 2021, Varuni Yoga will be there from 3:16 to 04:57. At the time of this yoga, the importance of bathing in the Ganges will be similar to bathing in hundred solar eclipses. Therefore, due to the great importance of this yoga, this important bath will remain.
Fourteenth bath – This bath will be done on the day of Chaitra Amavasya on April 12 , Monday and on this day there will also be Somvati Amavasya, which will increase the importance of bathing. On this day, there will be the second royal bath of Kumbh Snan and Sannyasis of conspiracy take bath in it. After bathing, donating and doing pratipar and shraddh gives great merit.
Fifteenth bath – This bath will be on Tuesday, April 13, the day of Baisakhi. On this day there is also Chaitra Shukla Pratipada and Navasvatsar is also started with Navratri. On the day of Pratipada of Chaitra Shukla Paksha, Pitamah Brahma Ji started the creation of the universe, hence it is considered to be a very holy date.
Sixteenth bath – This bath will take place on Wednesday, 14 April . This will be the major bathing date of Kumbh Mahaparva of Haridwar and the third major royal bath will take place on this day. The main Kumbh Snan will take place on 14 April next day, with the Sankranti entry period being on midnight on 13 April. On this day, Shankaracharya saint Mahatma of conspiracy will also take a royal journey with his disciples and take a bath in the Ganges.
Seventeenth Bath – This bath will take place on Wednesday, April 21, on the day of Sriramanavami. This date will be the fifth major bathing date of the Kumbh festival.
Eighteenth bath – This bath will take place on Tuesday, April 27, on Chaitra Purnima. This date is also important because it is the fourth or last royal bath of Haridwar Kumbh. Vaishakh bath will also start from this day.
Nineteenth bath – This bath will be on Tuesday, May 11, the day of Vaishakh Amavasya. On this day, the importance of bathing increases further by being Bhowmavati Amavasya.
Twentieth bath – This bath will take place on Friday, May 14 . On this day, Akshaya Tritiya and Lord Parashuram ji’s birth anniversary will also be there.
Twenty-first bath – This bath will start from noon on May 14 and will continue till 6 in the morning of May 15 the next day. This will be the holy bath of Jyeshtha Sankranti.
Twenty-second bath – This bath will take place on Monday, May 17. This day is the birth anniversary of Adyaguru Shri Shankaracharya ji.
Twenty-third bath – This bath will take place on Tuesday, May 18 . On this day, due to Ganga Jayanti, the importance of bathing and donation will be significant. The auspicious time for bathing will be from 12:33 to noon.
Twenty-fourth bath – This bath will take place on Wednesday, 26 May . This day is the last bathing date of the Kumbh festival of Haridwar. On this day, the full moon of Vaishakh month increases the importance of bathing. The Kumbh festival will end from this date.
The bathing dates of this Kumbha Mahaparva of Haridwar are given above, it is not necessary that ordinary people take bath on the same date, they can bathe anytime from Magh month to Vaishakh month. Apart from virtuous dates, bathing done on Ekadashi dates will also be highly fruitful.
