वर्ष 2020 में दो ही ग्रहण घटित होगें जिनमें से एक ग्रहण 21 जून 2020 को घटित हो चुका है और दूसरा ग्रहण 14 दिसंबर 2020 को घटने वाला हैं. 14 दिसंबर को लगने वाला यह ग्रहण खग्रास सूर्यग्रहण होगा लेकिन यह ग्रहण भारत में दिखाई नहीं देगा. किसी भी ग्रहण का प्रभाव तभी होता है जब वह किसी क्षेत्र विशेष में भी नजर आए.
भारत में दिखाई ना देने वाले खग्रास सूर्यग्रहण का विवरण
यह सूर्यग्रहण भारत में पूरी तरह से अदृश्य रहेगा. 14 दिसंबर 2020, सोमवार को मार्गशीर्ष माह की अमावस्या के दिन यह ग्रहण पृथ्वी पर लगेगा लेकिन भारत में यह दिखाई नहीं देगा. भारतीय़ समय के अनुसार यह खग्रास सूर्यग्रहण 19:03 बजे से आरंभ होकर रात 24:23 तक रहेगा.
ग्रहण से प्रभावित क्षेत्र
यह ग्रहण दक्षिण अमेरिका के मध्य तथा दक्षिणी क्षेत्र में, अफ्रीका के दक्षिणी देशों – नाम्बिया, साउथ अफ्रीका, अंगोला, बोत्सवाना, प्रशान्त तथा हिन्द महासागर में दिखाई देगा. इस ग्रहण की खग्रास आकृति दक्षिण अमेरिका के दक्षिणी देशों में जैसे अर्जेन्टीना तथा चिली में दिखाई देगी लेकिन भारत में रात्रि की वजह से यह दिखाई नहीं देगा और ना ही इसका किसी तरह का प्रभाव ही होगा.

ग्रहण के जो नियम होते हैं जैसे सूतक आदि वो भारत में लागू नहीं होगें क्योंकि यहाँ यह अदृश्य रहेगा. जहाँ भी यह ग्रहण घटित होगा वहाँ सूतक आदि के नियम भी लागू होगें. स्नान व दान का भी महत्व रहेगा.

This solar eclipse will remain completely invisible in India. On Monday, December 14, 2020, on the new moon day of Margashirsha month, this eclipse will be seen on Earth but it will not be visible in India . According to Indian time, this solar eclipse will start from 19:03 till 24:23.
Eclipse-affected area
This eclipse will be visible in the central and southern region of South America, in the southern countries of Africa – Nambia, South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Pacific and Indian Ocean. The eclipse shape of this eclipse will be seen in South America’s southern countries such as Argentina and Chile, but due to the night in India, it will not be visible nor will it have any effect.
